The State of Nevada elected to continue the Paris Climate Agreement, which outlines that City facilities must reduce emissions by 25-28% by 2025 (from the baseline year of 2005). The City of Henderson has reduced electrical emissions by 43%, and senior leaders are focused on remaining at 45,000 tons used per year even though it continues to add additional building square footage. Senior leaders support community quality of life by helping ensure good environmental stewardship and not only meeting but exceeding Paris Climate Agreement guidelines.
This measure demonstrates community satisfaction with emergency preparedness. Our goal is to increase community satisfaction with emergency preparedness to 85% by FY23. Our progress is measured by the Citizen Assessment Survey administered every 4 years.
The number of permit and plan submittal volumes and the proportion of those submittals that are submitted electronically are compared. Currently, 100% of the permits and plans submitted are filed electronically. Volumes are updated and reviewed monthly for general operations reviews.
