This visualization presents the Financial Stabilization Fund balance as a percentage of Actual Revenue. The city strives to maintain 8.3% of budgeted revenue in a “rainy day” financial stabilization fund, as defined per Nevada Revised Statute (NRS). This reserve fund allows the city to lessen the impact of economic uncertainties.

Gallons Per Capita Per Day (GPCD) is a metric used by many communities to measure water use (consumption). It is an effective tool to measure conservation efficiency over time. GPCD varies across communities due to several factors, including differences in climate, demographics, water-use accounting practices and economic conditions. The City of Henderson has achieved reductions in potable water use per capita with the permanent adoption of the City's water conservation regulations and enforcement practices. Further conservation is needed to achieve long-term conservation goals.

The Henderson Fire Department's goal is to maintain at greater than 90%, structure fires that are confined to the defined area of origin based on conditions at time of arrival. The 2020 opening of a new Fire Station in the east area (Hidden Falls at Horizon and Horizon Ridge) helps to keep the property and economic damages of fires in all areas to a minimum by reducing overall response times.

Increase Bike Lanes within 1/4 Mile of each Resident

The Henderson Fire Department measures response time performance at the 90th percentile in accordance with national standards. Our goal is to reduce baseline response times by 30 seconds as we work toward achieving the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) standards. The NFPA recommends a total response time of 6 minutes and 50 seconds for fires.

This measure includes the proportion of licensed early childhood education centers participating in the state Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). This system is one of the state's quality initiatives and participation demonstrates a commitment to high quality programming for young children.

Economic Development and Redevelopment Agency response to requests for assistance from Henderson businesses increased dramatically with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Examples of business assistance include sharing relocation or expansion opportunities, explaining regulations or policy, and providing assistance with securing additional County, State, or Federal resources.
