Residents have identified crime prevention as one of their top priority requirements and it is closely linked to their quality of life. Because residents told the city that crime prevention is a top requirement, the city has designated it as a key process. Crime rate is a count of crimes per 100,000 residents compiled to assess the effectiveness of a crime prevention policies, programs and processes. Preliminary data are presented in the aggregate to facilitate jurisdictional comparison and are subject to change.
