Public Safety
Fire, EMS, and Police
During the next five years, a top priority for public safety will be to meet the current system demands and future increases in calls for service through coordinated planning. The strategic use of human and capital resources will also be key to attaining this goal. Part of our operational resource allocation plan involves the monitoring of Fire, EMS, Police calls. Monitoring these calls helps determine staffing, location, and budget requirements. Crime data is analyzed to create data-driven solutions for crime reduction and prevention. Unofficial crime numbers are used for operational decision-making and may not reflect official crime statistics published by the FBI.
